General Terms & Conditions of Sale

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Maestro and Visa Electron on site through PayPal secure site. You may send your credit card information via phone or over the Internet. Do not send your details by e-mail unless you split them over three e-mails sent at different times, even then it is better to phone us on +44 (0) 1807 580213 and we will enter your details directly into our shop machine without copying. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. We will inform you should the goods not be available with 24 hours receipt of your order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product as it may not be any longer available to us. If there is a change in price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Prices shown against each item listed are not inclusive of postage and packaging which will be added to the bill automatically on the website checkout page.

All prices published on this site constitute an invitation to entreat rather than an offer capable of acceptance by any purchaser. Such prices are published in good faith and are believed to be correct. However, Whisky Castle Ltd. reserves the right to alter or change prices at any time up until delivery of the product selected.

All prices published on this site are applicable only to goods purchased from this site and may not be the same as in our shop.

Any price changes will be notified and confirmed to you via your order confirmation receipt.

All products offered are subject to availability and we cannot guarantee availability of the products listed.

Any products highlighted as being subject to a promotional price have previously been available at the higher indicated price on our site or in our shop.

You must confirm that you are of legal age to purchase alcohol within your country of residence ( UK 18, USA 21).

If the order is being delivered to a different address, the recipient must also be of legal age to receive alcohol. This is the responsibility of the purchaser.

Security

All personal information including your name, address, phone number, email address, login password etc is all entered on our secure server which uses SSL. This means the data is encrypted before it is sent securely across the Internet. All credit and debit card numbers are entered solely on the secure server of Paypal. Once on the Paypal system, all sensitive data is secured. The data held by Paypal is extremely secure.

Whisky Castle Ltd does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order contract where a delivery agency will be contacted. In this case, it is believed that the third party (a carrier) will not disclose any of the details to any party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies. Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Orders from Outside the UK

All transactions are made in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP £). If you are ordering from outside the UK the actual exchange rate used for the transaction is determined by your credit card company who will convert the transaction to your own currency. We aim to keep all prices as accurate as possible and our exchange rate is updated daily. All our parcels are delivered through traceable delivery systems.

Delivery Schedule

For the United Kingdom single bottles that are under 2 kilos will be transported by normal postal services as traceable next day delivery. This does not mean that an order placed on a Friday will get to you on Saturday. We are in the Highlands of Scotland and even if parcels are posted on a Tuesday the Postal service promise of 24 hours does not apply and you will probably receive the goods on Thursday

For the United kingdom all packages more than 2 kilos will be sent with DHL or another carrier using land mail. Delivery will be between 2 and 5 days.

For most European deliveries over 2 kilos we will send either with DHL or Parcel Force land mail, allowing 5 to 7 days for delivery. For parcels under 2 kilos these will be sent through normal postage services.

For World wide deliveries we use both DHL and Parcel Force. Deliveries may take up to 2- 3 weeks.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT DELIVERIES TO COUNTRIES WHICH HAVE ALCOHOL EXEMPTIONS. THIS WILL INCLUDE THE USA, AND CANADA.

We will send you notification of dispatch but we will make no commitment to say exactly when a parcel may arrive. This is beyond our control. Whisky Castle Ltd will make every effort to you that the goods will arrive to you as soon as possible and in an undamaged state with regards to the content of bottles. ie. breakages of bottles. For this we will make refunds and or replacements on receipt of evidence that the bottles have been broken under transit.

Goods must be checked at the time of delivery and any damage notified to Whisky Castle Ltd.

Goods are dispatched by a third party courier and their terms and conditions apply

Goods are sent entirely at the customers own risk as we are unable to guarantee safe delivery.

Whisky Castle Ltd relies totally on all the information supplied to it by the customer as to the person, destination and method of delivery and makes no independent checks or enquiries. Whisky Castle does not accept any liability whatsoever arising due to any poor information supplied to it.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. If we cannot find any more of the item then we will refund all your monies. You will always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

All orders made from the UK are subject to VAT. If we are sending products to an address within the European Union, prices are also subject to VAT. Orders sent to an address outside the EU will also be charged VAT. Your order may be subject to local taxes and duties upon arrival in your country. Whisky Castle Ltd bears not liability for these or any seizing of goods by a Country’s Customs Officers. All additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you the customer or the recipient. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict the import controls imposed by other countries. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you will need to contact your local customs office should you require further information.

Guarantee

Unwanted Goods must be returned within 30 days at your cost. The goods must be returned postage paid in the same condition in which they were received. We cannot refund purchases if the original packaging or seals have been broken or tampered with in any way.

Whiskycastle Ltd. may make a charge, not exceeding the direct costs of recovering goods supplied under the terms of sale, where the terms of sale provides that the consumer must return any goods supplied if he cancels the sale under regulation 10 of the UK's "The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000".
All goods remain the property of Whisky-Online.com until payment is received in full. No goods will be sent unless we have verified notice of payment from Paypal or our credit card bankers.
